Nissan’s official Twitter account in Mexico was hacked on Friday by an unidentified person who changed the handle’s name to “hacking for love.”
English translation : “Hi Twitter, sorry Nissan but I had to hack you for love.”
English translation : “Hacking Nissan is the most romantic thing I have done in my life.” The unknown hacker targeted Nissan’s Twitter account because the girl he fell in love with has a Nissan car. The hacker said he had just experienced love at first sight and needed help finding a girl he spotted climbing into a blue Nissan March in Mexico City’s trendy Polanco neighborhood.
He further described her “She was a brunette, wearing glasses, a pink blouse and black pants,” he tweeted asking Nissan’s 242,000 followers for help.
English translation : “I’m not a stalker. I just want to see the most beautiful girl in the world again so I can take her out to dinner tomorrow.” The love hacker’s tweets were going on for an hour and a half until Nissan took back control of their Twitter account. In the meantime judging by the retweets and favourites the unknown hacker got, he seems to have found a fan following among Nissan Mexico Twitter followers. Nissan’s social media team deleted all the posts by the love hacker and posted the following apology:
— Nissan México (@Nissan_mx) February 13, 2015 “We apologize to our followers. Our Twitter account was a victim of a hacker in love.” Apparently hacking is the new way to woo girls!
