The security compromise was detected by a Google Chrome security engineer named Adrienne Porter Felt who discovered this during a flight she took while using the inflight service provided by Gogo Inflight Internet. She noticed this while connecting to Google sites and looking at the issuer of the SSL certificate. The SSL certificate was being issued by Gogo and not Google. This serious man-in-the-middle attack is likely to have effected all user sessions that Gogo Inflight Internet provide service for including Aeromexico, American Airlines, Air Canada, Japan Airlines and Virgin Atlantic, possibly many others....

Google’s most anticipated and upcoming Android 8.0 OS will now allow you to download updates even if your phone is low on storage. Apparently, this new feature called “streaming updates” has been introduced by the tech giant in its forthcoming Android 8.0 OS, reports Ars Technica who spotted these changes in the new Android documentation for Seamless system updates. In a recent update to Android Messages app, a hidden code was found within the app that indicates Google is preparing to release a web-based service of the app, which will allow users to send texts, photos/videos and share files or locations, reports Android Police. Another upgrade that appears to be in the works is messaging over Wi-Fi and viewing the messaging status (typing, delivered, read, etc.).
